The First Game Pass Titles of 2026 Reveal Xbox Isn't Giving Up Yet.
Everywhere you go, commentators persist in tolling the knell for the Xbox brand. Microsoft's console just got outsold by a lesser-known competitor. Xbox fan sites are now publishing content about PlayStation unprecedentedly. The past year represented an era of significant turmoil for the Xbox ecosystem. Yet, based exclusively on the upcoming Game Pass lineup in 2026, it is apparent that Xbox remains determined to attract subscribers with compelling titles on its key platform.
The Immediate Additions
A pair of titles that are immediately available at this moment, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, don't represent the biggest draws. Instead, the excitement lies in what's arriving to Game Pass soon that's deserving of attention.
Significant Forthcoming Releases
Starting January 13th, the subscription service will add the underrated Star Wars Outlaws, a vast exploration title that breaks up the standard Ubisoft formula with an intergalactic heist adventure. An additional significant inclusion is Resident Evil Village with its iconic tall vampire, which our 2021 review called "an ideal blend of frights and fights."
Noteworthy Smaller Games
However, the more modest titles set to join the catalog deserve recognition. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, a fantastic but under-the-radar dungeon crawler offering thrilling gameplay, arrives January 7th — and it's worth experiencing even if you missed out on the first Lost in Random game.
This UK-developed survival title from last year might get its hooks in you remarkably quickly.
Atomfall, a game blending infiltration and resource management by Rebellion Developments, also warrants your attention. Those with the top-tier subscription also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to anticipate.
A Well-Rounded Collection
In summary, this isn't a revolutionary update to Game Pass, nor are they massive exclusive blockbusters that validate the subscription alone. But Microsoft's additions here are rock solid. There's a good mixture of old games you might have missed and fairly new titles that didn't get the attention they deserved the first time around — which makes them excellent choices to find a new audience on Game Pass.
Be prepared to bid farewell to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, however.
