Paramount Skydance Plans to Eliminate Around 2,000 US Jobs – Report

Skydance Paramount plans to start mass layoffs beginning on 27 October, removing about 2,000 positions in the United States under a expense reduction strategy valued at $2bn overseen by top executive David Ellison.

The workforce reduction are a result of the merger of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized during August worth $8.4bn.

Additional overseas workforce reductions are likely, with Paramount Skydance aiming to disclose complete information via its third quarter earnings report scheduled for November 10.

Previous updates stated the company was looking to cut between 2,000 and 3,000 jobs before the start of November.
