Charli XCX Embraces a Dark Alter Ego of Herself in Fictional Documentary Teaser
Charli XCX is gearing up for a substantial cinematic appearance in 2026, starting with the satirical film titled The Moment.
Throughout the movie, she embodies what she calls as a hell version of her public image.
It’s the most authentic portrayal of the music business that I’ve ever encountered, Charli stated.
She clarified in an interview: It’s far from a live performance documentary, however the inspiration originated from the demand to create one.

The initial preview, released on this week, combines authentic footage from her recent tour with fictionalized backstage scenes.
The film is directed and co-written by Aidan Zamiri, who shared that the plot focuses on a reality where the artist took completely different paths during the promotion of her hugely successful record Brat.
